Perception

Research shows the public value of diverse and equitable schools. But people aren’t always guided by research. Personal experiences and perspectives also inform the ways we value—or disregard the value of—integrated schools. These perception-related resources address this issue and offer ways to develop a consensus that will support your work toward equity. Please be in touch if you would like to share additional materials about the ways we perceive and value integration.

We have organized our work into three Action Areas. Perception is the one we focus on here. Yet perception is deeply interconnected with policy and practice—to learn more about how, please see our Action Areas page.
