Ph.D. candidate in Educational Leadership, Organization, and Policy Studies at Iowa State University
Isaiah McGee is an Equity Leadership Consultant with West Wind Education Policy Inc. and partner consultant with The Core Collaborative. Isaiah previously served as the Equal Opportunity Specialist with the Office of Equal Opportunity at Iowa State University and as the Equity Coordinator and Human Resource Specialist for Diversity in the Des Moines Public Schools, as well as, a policy and equity consultant in the Iowa Department of Education. Prior to his work at the Iowa Department of Education; Isaiah served as the interim director of the Iowa Department of Human Rights, served on various boards, commissions, and elected city councils.
Isaiah, a South Los Angeles native, is a former social studies and special education teacher and football coach. Isaiah is also a Ph.D. candidate in Educational Leadership, Organization, and Policy Studies at Iowa State University, having earned his M.A. in Teaching from Drake University and B.A. in History and Political Science from Cornell College. Isaiah is a certified Intercultural Development Inventory Qualified Administrator and a certified Human Capital Leader in Education (pHCLE) from the American Association of School Personnel Administrators.
