From Chicago by way of Los Angeles, Hope McCoy is a PhD Candidate in Higher Education and Organizational Change at UCLA, where she has also served as an elected student leader, research assistant, and teaching assistant across six academic disciplines. Her long-term research interest focuses on how countries work together across borders on education issues. Hope examines the social, political, and economic impact of cross-national partnerships in the adoption of policy initiatives.  In addition, Hope is a recipient of the 2017-2018 Global Inequality Research Fellowship, a 2015-2016 Fulbright scholar, 2016 Humanity in Action Finalist, and an Associated Researcher with TANDEM, an international research laboratory in the Comparative Sociology at St. Petersburg State University in Russia.  Prior to graduate school, she worked full-time as an administrator at the Kellogg School of Management, while completing her bachelor's degree in Psychology at Northwestern University.
